How we engineer

How a water project runs: from assessment to optimisation.

A structured engineering journey — from the first site assessment and water analysis to commissioning, operation and continuous improvement over the plant's working life.

The Engineering Journey

Nine Stages, Single-Point Accountability.

A comprehensive range of technical services, delivered as a complete solution — or as the specific stages a client needs.

Assess

Site assessment and audits of existing water and wastewater systems.

  • Plant & process audits
  • Water quality monitoring

Plays through all nine stages, then starts over. Choosing a stage or dragging the view pauses it.

ETP & STP

Industrial effluent and sewage — two pathways.

An effluent treatment plant is built around the characteristics of an industrial effluent; a sewage treatment plant around domestic and commercial sewage. Both end in treated water fit for reuse or compliant discharge.

Industrial effluent reaction tanks, chemical dosing pumps and a plate filter press in a factory treatment bay
ETP

Effluent Treatment Plant

Customised systems for the wide variety of industrial effluents — combining physico-chemical treatment, biological treatment and membrane separation to suit each effluent.

Typical treatment pathway

View in 3D
  1. 01Industrial wastewater

Effluent from manufacturing and process operations.

  2. 02Characterization

Understanding the effluent so the treatment train can be designed around it.

  3. 03Treatment

Physico-chemical and biological processes reduce BOD and COD and maintain pH.

  4. 04Clarification / filtration

Solids separation and filtration, with membrane separation where required.

  5. 05Reuse / discharge

Recycling of treated water, or discharge — with minimum or zero discharge options.

Technologies often used

Sewage treatment clarifier with a scraper bridge, adjacent biological aeration tank and handrailed walkways
STP

Sewage Treatment Plant

Plants that treat domestic sewage, commercial wastewater and industrial process wastewater, delivering treated water that meets the discharge standards prescribed by the CPCB/SPCB.

Typical treatment pathway

View in 3D
  1. 01Domestic / commercial sewage

Sewage from communities, campuses, buildings and institutions.

  2. 02Biological treatment

A biological process such as MBR, MBBR, SAFF, SBR or extended aeration.

  3. 03Clarification / filtration

Settling or membrane separation, followed by filtration.

  4. 04Treated water

Disinfected treated water meeting the applicable standards.

  5. 05Reuse / discharge

Recycling for non-potable uses, or compliant discharge.

Technologies often used

Pathways are conceptual. Each plant is designed around its own wastewater characteristics and discharge or reuse requirements.
